Ladies and Gentlemen,
As the president of CCMI, and on behalf of 1200 member companies, I cordially invite you to take part in the MetalForm China 2011, which takes place in Shanghai World Expo Theme Pavilion from 14th to 17th June, 2011.
In 2009, the total turnover of Chinese sheet-steel (up to 3mm in thickness) forming industry was about 900 billion RMB (approximately 132 billion USD). The number of enterprises (or workshops) with considerable scale was more than 70000, employing more than 380 million people. For the forging industry, the number of enterprises (or workshops) is 12,000, employing more than 600 thousand people, among which key enterprises number 450. The forgings production was about 5.5 million tons in 2009.
Moreover, the national Twelth-Five Year Plan will start from 2011. The government will publish a variety of favorable policies to adjust the industry structure and upgrade the current products. Every enterprise and every professional will have uncommon opportunities for development in the coming 5 years.
However, the matching service like exhibitions cannot meet the business development needs:
Firstly, there are too many exhibitions related to metal forming industry all over China. Exhibitors find it difficult to look for a suitable show, for few of them worth to take part in. Most of the exhibitions are not specialized enough to attract professional visitors, as metal forming is really a highly specialized field.
Secondly, as there is no Neutral body to make objective evaluation of exhibits, it is very hard for customers to distinguish which technology or machinery is reliable.
Thirdly, the metal part formers seldom go abroad to visit exhibitions due to the barrier of high cost, language and long distance, although they are eager to learn the latest technology abroad.
Fourthly, the technicians and site managers have no enough chances to get in touch with the latest equipment and technology.
Fifthly, Chinese manufacturers in developed areas are facing civilian worker shortage and RMB is under pressure to be stronger, so the demand on automation and information technology is extremely urgent in the upcoming years.

As to resolve those problems, CCMI organized the MetalForm China, a prompt, unimpeded, advanced, professional and authoritative industrial platform to exhibit and communicate for enterprises and professionals. It will exhibit the forging, stamping, and fabricating equipment & technology, tooling & die, materials, robot & automation, information etc, aiming to help the manufacturers to produce high quality metal formed parts with low cost. Meanwhile, this show also helps the metal part formers to find purchasers from all over the world.
MetalForm China 2011 will be held in the famous World Expo exhibition center, a pavilion with the best conditions for exhibition. The space of MetalForm China 2011 is 30,000 sqm, the number of exhibitors will be 600, and the visitors will number 20,000. It will be one of the most influential events in metal forming industry in China.
