Therefore, operators were taken into consideration in the development of the newest TRUMPF bending machines. User friendliness and ergonomics, two key factors for productivity, are built into the machine design.

• When a press brake operator grows tired, the quantity and quality of the fabricated parts suffer. To circumvent this, the design engineers focused on ergonomics in the development of the TruBend Series 7000.
• The operator can operate the machine sitting down and work without getting overly tired. The foot rests and arm supports can be individually adjusted.
• The monitor for the control system can be adjusted electrically and set at the appropriate angle.
• While one tried-and-trusted lighting system in medical technology ensures the correct lighting, a laser diode marks the bend line, making it possible for the workpiece to be precisely guided into the back gauge.

The bending speed can be further increased simply by making adjustments on the machine itself: High axis speeds and acceleration values of both machine parts relevant for the bending process, i.e. the back gauge and the beam. Here too, the developers of the TruBend Series 7000 have come up with their own ideas – using electrically driven pressure beams and a rear stop made of carbon fiber.
